Practical Subjects - Ergonomics

As a cosmetologist you use your body actively every day - often in repetitive movements and static positions. In the subject Ergonomics you learn how to take care of yourself through correct working postures, movement patterns and conscious body use.

What will you learn?

  • Correct working posture for different treatment types

  • Adjusting the chair, treatment table and workspace

  • Prevention of work injuries and overload

  • Movement analysis and relaxation techniques

  • Breaks and micro-movements during the working day

  • Long-term health in a physically demanding profession

Why is it important?

Your body is your most important tool - and if you do not take care of it, you will feel it throughout your entire career. Good ergonomics prevents injuries, improves your stamina and increases your comfort in the treatment situation, which also positively affects the client’s experience.

Teaching format

The teaching is a combination of theory and practical exercises in the treatment room. You learn to analyse your own movements, adjust your routines and implement small changes that make a significant difference to your job satisfaction and health.
