Spa & Wellness Programme
Your way into the wellness and spa industry
The Spa & Wellness Programme is Nordic Skin College’s intensive 4.5-month body therapy course aimed at the wellness and spa industry. The programme takes place at Kongens Nytorv 21 in Copenhagen and costs 15,000 DKK in total, including materials. Teaching is practically oriented with training on real clients under the guidance of instructors with 20-35 years of clinic experience. The programme is not clinical rehabilitation, but focuses on professional wellbeing experiences, so you are ready to work at spas, wellness centres and hotels from day one.
A body therapist is a specialist in massage and body treatments who works with wellbeing, pain relief and relaxation. Unlike a physiotherapist, which is an authorised healthcare degree focused on rehabilitation, the body therapist primarily works within wellness, spa and preventive body care.
What you learn
The programme is built around five modules that together cover body, face and product knowledge:
Classic Relax facial treatment and the structure of the skin - you learn the products and techniques behind a professional relaxing facial.
Combined with light therapy that supports the skin's collagen and elastin production.
Traditional Japanese pressure-point technique combined with aromatherapy.
Full-body treatment of face, shoulders, back, feet and neck with Xenymphus oils.
Body wraps and cupping for lymphatic drainage and fluid retention.
Learning by doing - no exams
The entire course is practically oriented without exams or tests. You stand at the treatment table from the start, and experienced instructors guide you through every treatment until the techniques become second nature. You train on real clients in Nordic Skin College’s clinic at Kongens Nytorv 21, 1st floor, 1050 Copenhagen K, building routine and confidence in professional surroundings.
“Massage is not just about technique, it is about being able to read the body and adapt your treatment to the individual person. That is what we train in the clinic, and that is what makes our students sought after in the job market.”
- Louise H. Grønnemose, Head of School, Nordic Skin College
