Theoretical Subjects - CPR & First Aid
The subject CPR and First Aid gives you vital knowledge and practical skills that can save lives. As a cosmetologist you work closely with people, and although serious situations are rare, it is crucial to be prepared and able to act quickly and correctly should an incident occur.
What will you learn?
You gain practical and theoretical competences in:
- Basic first aid for accidents, injuries and sudden illness
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Stopping bleeding and wound management
- Unconsciousness and states of shock
- Prevention and safe conduct in the treatment room
The subject is certified according to current first aid standards and concludes with a certificate.

As a therapist you have a responsibility not just for the client’s well-being, but also for their safety. With first aid knowledge you are equipped to act quickly and correctly - and the calm and confidence you project in an emergency situation can be decisive.
Teaching format
The teaching is practice-oriented with a focus on hands-on exercises, simulations and reflection. You train in realistic scenarios and learn to maintain an overview, act safely and provide first aid until professional help arrives.
