Practical Subjects - Body Massage

Body massage is a central part of the cosmetologist’s treatment repertoire. In this subject you learn to perform a professional and relaxing full-body massage with a focus on client comfort, circulation and muscle relaxation.

What will you learn?

  • Classical massage strokes and techniques

  • Anatomy with a focus on muscles and joints

  • Massage of back, legs, arms, abdomen and neck

  • Adapting pressure and rhythm to the individual client

  • Contraindications and body signals

  • Professional contact and client comfort

Why is it important?

Massage reduces tension, improves blood circulation and provides increased well-being. As a cosmetologist, it is important to be able to offer treatments that create both physical and mental calm - and that strengthen the relationship between therapist and client.

Teaching format

Practical training in massage techniques on treatment tables with a focus on working posture, contact and flow. You learn to adapt the treatment to different body types and needs, and how to work ergonomically and with respect for the client’s boundaries.
