What is a Cosmetologist and Skincare Therapist?
A cosmetologist and skincare therapist is a professional practitioner who specializes in a wide range of beauty treatments, including facial and body treatments, pedicures, manicures, hair removal, electrolysis, and makeup. The training does not end there. The field is evolving rapidly, and you can continue to keep pace and acquire new skills through advanced courses and further education—for example in cosmetic tattooing or as a nail technician. An important part of the role also includes client care through consultation and the sale of beauty products tailored to each client’s individual needs.
Why Choose our Cosmetology Program?
Our program combines the latest techniques and knowledge in skin therapy with hands-on training. You will learn everything from facial treatments to advanced specialties such as Japanese Lifting, light therapy, and sugaring. In addition, we offer specialization options so you can tailor your education to your career goals.
Career Paths and Job Opportunities after our Cosmetology Program
Qualified cosmetologists can expect a wealth of job opportunities. Many begin their careers as employees in clinics before eventually starting their own business. Other options include retail sales; roles in the cosmetics industry with manufacturers, importers, or agents; positions in spa departments; teaching; or working with plastic surgeons providing pre- and post-operative care. Opportunities also exist on cruise ships and internationally. In addition, there is growing demand for cosmetologists’ expertise within the healthcare sector, with dermatologists, in pharmacies, and in perfumeries.
